Music Computing Touchscreen Line Evolves

Gen3 includes increased support and debuts a new Interactive Coffee Table

MotionCOMMAND (Gen3) is the latest update to the MotionCOMMAND line of multi-touchscreen products from Music Computing. The company tells us that the MotionCOMMAND series have been used in many installations including major universities, museums, fortune 500 companies, and of course music studios. Music Computing says that they were the first to provide true multi-touch capabilities to the general public at reasonable prices. The new Gen3 version adds support for Windows 8 and Android in addition to quicker response of up to 30% from the previous models. Here's the details in Music Computing's own words...

New to the lineup is the MotionCOMMAND CT, a multi-touch interactive coffee table.

The MotionCOMMAND CT is equipped with a multi-touch touchscreen and Android mini PC. Designed to be the command center of your living room, the MotionCOMMAND CT allows you to interact with the world right from your couch.

Each MotionCOMMAND CT is constructed from durable yet light materials which are designed for years of use. Centered in the table is a crystal clear LCD touchscreen powered by a built in Android mini PC allowing the user to surf the internet as well as download and run any Android apps available.

Standard connections include USB, Wi-Fi and HDMI for connectivity and HD video display.

"We believe the advantages of the Android operating system are clear." Said Victor Wong, CEO, Music Computing, "By bringing that ecosphere into the user's living room or office reception area, we are expanding the scope of the operating system and enabling people to do things they could not do before."

The MotionCOMMAND CT is also compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8 and Mac OS X. Multi-touch is available for Windows 7 and Windows 8 and single touch is available for Mac OS X and Android.

However, applications that are written to work in multi-touch mode for Mac OS X and Android will automatically work in multi-touch mode with the MotionCOMMAND CT.

Both VGA and HDMI connectors are available so it's possible to have two computers connected at all times for multi-platform OS use. The LCD touchscreen is capable of displaying full 1080p (1920 x 1080) high-resolution images.

A remote control is included to power on and off the touchscreen as well as selecting input source or watching standard HD television channels.

The MotionCOMMAND CT can be equipped with a 22" (2-touch) touchscreen or a 32" version with up to 40 points of touch and is water-proof.

The MotionCOMMAND CT table is 46 1/2 " (L) x 30 3/4 " (W) x 17 3/4 " (H) and comes in a dark black/brown color.
